Mel is passionate about teaching/lecturing, with a focus on quilting on a domestic machine and modern quilting techniques. Starting in 2016, Mel has taught for quilt shops, guilds and quilt shows throughout CA, with engagements in OR, WA, NV, NB, and NY, and several large venues: Road to California, Pacific International Quilt Festival, and Craft Napa. Mel has been a leader with online teaching, sharing her expertise with Northern California guilds and teachers, SAQA, in addition to presnting many online lectures and workshops for guilds, the April 2020 Virtual Quilt Show, and three of Mancuso’s Online Quilt Festivals. She has had several articles published in Quilting Arts Magazine and with the Craft Industry Alliance.
