Battingsupersale.com was born of many years as a batting distributor and retail shop owner. Lyn Heilman, founded the business under the name Quilted Memories in Overland Park, KS in 2006. In the beginning, Lyn was a long arm quilter based from home. A need was found in the area for Hobbs batting so Lyn decided to become a Hobbs distributor. Soon this lead to shows and online sales from home. The last residential truck arrived in spring of 2011.Batting was everywhere- the shed, garage, dining room, living room, and 2 extra bedrooms were full of batting and there was more on the drive!
The shop/warehouse was born. July 1st 2011, the Quilted Memories shop opened in a small storefront with Nolting machines, Hobbs batting and longarm quilting supplies. Quilted Memories was blessed with abundant growth and in 2014 moved down the street into a 6000 sq. ft building that housed everything under one roof. It was in this location that Battingsupersale.com was launched.
One more move was necessary which took Quilted Memories/ Battingsupersale.com to its current warehouse/flex location in Overland Park, KS. Stitch in Time Quilt Batting was developed and launched in 2018 as more quilters were demanding a premium batting at great prices!
Quilted Memories still specializes in custom memory quilts and giftables along with a small retail shop. Battingsupersale.com is operated from this same location for pickup and online orders.
