Moroccan Vibe
Moroccan Vibe
Pieced & Quilted By:
Olga Schrichte
Description:
Norma Reel of Norma’s Quilt Studio posted a photo of her Moroccan Vibe quilt on the Gammill website and I knew at once that I had to make one. I had fun learning to use the Quick Curve Ruler and I love how the quilting animates the piecing pattern.
Quilted On:
Computerized Quilting Machine
Pattern Source:
The pattern came from “One Wonderful Curve” by Jenny Pedigo and Helen Robinson for Sew Kind of Wonderful with Sherilyn Mortensen, page 37.
Techniques:
This quilt was pieced using the Quick Curve Ruler. I used a double batting of Hobbs washable wool batting on top of 80/20 to make the quilting pop. I quilted it with Glide threading using Nancy Haacke’s digital quilting patterns that she designed just for this quilt. I added a narrow red border to frame the quilt and finished it with a faux-piped binding.
