Description:

I have been manipulating the traditional, Lone Star design for years by redrafting the design into quadrant blocks so they can be pieced without set-in seams. This is yet another version I created using EQ8 software. I love the illusion of circles and curves and yet the design is created with blocks using only straight seams! The quilting in the negative space beautifully enhances the design of the frosty blue tones by creating the look and feel of ice crystals.
