Description:

Unfamiliar with applique: this undertaking was the highlight of 18 months. Primary focus; enhance skills, compile multiple colors to accentuate the primary pink, and have an illustration that provokes warmth, love, and simplicity of life. Initially inspired by a design of Irene Blanck, however; wanted more… larger… creatures… enhanced layout, etc. This creation came from “doing it on a fly” with stolen moments and the helpful insight of a special loved one. Batik fabrics, cotton & wool batting (double layer), cotton, silk threads used.
