My name is Olesya Lebedenko and I’m an artist from Ukraine living in Canada. I’m a teacher, designer, quilter, books author, magazine contributor, doll maker, and the founder and owner of Olesya Lebedenko Design brand. My patterns had been featured in Canadian, USA and Ukrainian publications. I made dozens of tutorials, articles, and I’ve led hundreds of workshops in Europe and Canada. I had a shop and my personal studio back to Ukraine for 10 years.
In 2018-2019 I challenged myself to start the 365 Days of Quilt Scraps Challenge (#365daysquiltscraps). I made one block per day for a whole year. During the challenge I created my technique (paperless piecing) of how to make a block from sketch to a ready fabric art piece. You can find all those blocks on my Instagram account (@olesyalebedenkodesign). I’m sponsored by BERNINA Canada as an artist. I’m working under BERNINA’s accessories blocks collection. I’m going to be a teacher at Quilt Canada 2021. There will be three my workshops and two lectures.
I’m an international guest at QuiltShow with Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson (because of pandemic situation the tapping was rescheduled).

I’m a professional member of the International Quilt Association, Canadian Quilters’ Association, Modern Quilt Guilt and York Heritage Quilters

This show, we are excited to announce two contest levels: Aspiring and Master. Compete for prizes up to $500 and recognition in a total of 29 categories! The competition is conducted solely with high-quality photos. The contest levels are defined as follows: Aspiring – Quilter has not had any entry that placed in a large regional quilt show. Master – Quilter has had one or more entry that has placed in a large regional quilt show. Placed is defined as winning a ribbon, cash prize, or honorable mention. Large regional quilt show is defined as anything other than a local show. For example, receiving an honorable mention at a local quilt guild show would not disqualify the quilter from the aspiring contest; however, an honorable mention at a state fair would disqualify the quilter from the Aspiring contest. Anyone may elect to enter the Master competition.

Click the quilt competition category links below to navigate the show. Once in the category, click on the individual quilts. If you do not see quilts, use the social media icons to login.

As you navigate each quilt, rate the quilts using the stars below the quilt. Simply select the number of stars you wish to give the quilt (1 low, 5 high) and click “submit.” Viewer’s Choice voting is limited to one vote per quilt per person. We encourage you to rate as many quilts as you like!
