I grew up in a remote corner of northern Canada, and learned to sew and make quilts on a treadle sewing machine, alongside my mother. I’ve never stopped sewing and creating and petting fabric since. In 2015 I purchased my first longarm quilting machine and fell in love with the art of freehand quilting. Since then I’ve accumulated a wall of ribbons and accolades, but what means the most to me is simply getting quilts out into the world to be used and loved. I’m a shameless ambassador of freehand edge-to-edge quilting; it can be beautiful and unique as well as practical, and it’s a skill any quilter can be truly proud of.
